During my career as an academic, I have the interests in some areas of studies including Islamis politics (especially on the Middle East political affairs), international law, ASEAN studies, and strategic studies. However, in recent years, my reseach has focused on non-traditionl security issues covering human security and Critical Securiy Studies. Recently I am doing my Ph.D at the School of Political Science and International Studies, the University of Queensland, Australia.
