Willi Ashadi is a lecturer at the Department of International Relations, Universitas Islam Indonesia. His research interests include Islamic politics, Middle East studies, global Islamic movements and human security in Islam. He earned his Master of Arts from Universitas Gadjah Mada and a bachelor degree in Islamic Law from Universitas Islam Indonesia. Beyond academia, Willi is active in various public engagements in Yogyakarta, especially in promoting the application of Islamic values in daily lives. He is often invited to deliver Friday sermons, public discussions, seminars and conferences across Yogyakarta. Willi has also published journals in some publications.
